Robert Parker 93

Made of 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Grand Village bursts out of the glass with exuberant black cherries, crushed blueberries and boysenberry notes with hints of redcurrants, pencil lead, Sichuan pepper and spearmint. The medium to full-bodied palate explodes with energy, offering layers of blue and black fruits with loads of spicy sparks and a very plush frame, finishing long and vibrant. [26/11/2018]

Vinous 90

The 2016 Grand Village has a pretty bouquet of blackberry, bilberry and light iris aromas. The elegant palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and salty black fruit, and almost briny toward the finish, which displays impressive depth. This is a superb Grand Village, one of the best I have tasted. [Neal Martin, 24/01/2019]
