Tasting Notes
Vinous 90
The 2015 Bernadotte shoots above my expectation. It has a clean and fresh bouquet with plenty of appealing graphite notes. The palate is medium-bodied with dusky black fruit sprinkled with black pepper, good length and nicely focused. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.
Robert Parker 88
“Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 La Bernadotte feels a little smudged on the nose at first, although it gains clarity in the glass and develops attractive pressed flower scents with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, plenty of dusky black fruit laced with black pepper. Though there is just a touch of oak to be absorbed on the finish, this should turn into a decent Haut-Médoc. Tasted September 2017.”
