Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 88-90
The 2014 Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Aux Brulees felt muted on the nose when I tasted it at the domaine following the Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru. The aromatics felt…shackled, possibly due to some reduction. The palate is better with quite rigid, chalky tannin and a good level of acidity, but I would be seeking more tension and energy on the finish. I would be intrigued to re-taste this at a later date, as it came across as a rabbit in the headlights kind of performance.
Anticipated maturity: 2015-2015
