We’ve been following Damien Colin’s progress at Domaine Marc Colin with a keen eye for some years now. Every time we taste through these wines, it’s clear that they offer some of the best value to be found in the Cote d’Or. Marc Colin was our first tasting on our visit to Burgundy in November and the 2015s are delicious. The limestone heavy soils were a benefit in this warm growing season, helping balance the ripe fruit with acidity and structure. From the Bourgogne Blanc ‘La Combe’, which has become our house white, through to the Puligny Enseigneres, one of the best secrets in Burgundy, this is a hugely enjoyable set of wines that are not to be underestimated in 2015.
